Eva and Michelle were here not long ago and thankfully they arrived in better condition than Michelle's bag. This is how it came off the carousel. They assured her that they would take care of it and sure enough they picked it up a few days later and fixed it up like new. Amazing what a little Singaporean know how can do.
On their first day I took them to a Hawker stand, which is customary as far as I am concerned. Eva was a little skeptical but I think she enjoyed it
Michelle on the other hand dug right in. I think she ate this before she got back to the table.
Next we were off to China Town and the girls did what girls do best SHOP
Eva went right for the leopard print. Love ya Eva
There is so much stuff down there we were moving at a snails pace but bargains were to be had and had they were. I don't know what the heck they are buying here
Whatever it was it made Michell happy. That and some Thai food. What more can you ask for
Later that evening we went to Gilmans. I think you might recognize the name, it has been mentioned here numerous times, for good reason. It's a place that all visitors must go to and yes you have to eat some of the food with your hands which I think Eva enjoyed quite a bit. Damn that chili crab is good
And the requisite picture of the carnage at the end of the meal
I think Roman wants some more beer here
I don't know why I post some of these pics, they really don't do anything for my image
For all those who were worried that we have been here for over a year and haven't had the street version of an ice cream sandwich with white bread you can now sleep better at night. A little multi colored bread with some chocolate chip ice cream
and hell yes it was good. You have to be prepared for a sizable brain freeze with this delicacy considering it is around 93degrees, but the pain was worth it
Supermodel material
This is a Mosque
This is Eva about to enter a Mosque for the first time. I don't think she ever thought she would be entering a Mosque. Another first on her trip to the other side of the world
After lunch we went on a boat ride down the Singapore River
3 girls on a boat, sounds like the beginning of a joke
The ride was nice but you've seen all the pictures before from previous post so we will jump to the end where we have drinks. You know the fun part
Eva was pretty pooped the next day so Barbara Michelle and I went down Orchard road and they had their pics taken with the beautiful people
Its barely November and they have Christmas everywhere

Barbara found a friendly face on the street
Michelle and I not so much
But there was Super dog to the rescue, I don't ask questions about these type of things. Poor dog
After a day of rest Eva wanted to go for a walk so we took her on a 8k hike through the Jungle. You know just a little walk.
Half way through, I'm starting to get the look. She's a trooper

A little wild life along the way
Don't want to know what this thing is
This little family followed us for a while. The dad would run up ahead of us sit on the rail and watch us pass. as soon as we passed the mom and baby would catch up to him sit and wait while he ran past us again. Kinda neat if you like monkeys, I don't really like monkeys, so

After the walk what do you do. Have some fried food and a drink of course

It's a good thing she like me
Michelle and I went to Har Par Villa the next day. Its probably the weirdest place I have ever been. I took probably 100 pics there and I will just put on a few. It's a place built by one of the brothers who invented Tiger Balm. He built it in commemoration of his Mother, Father and Brother. However weird, bazaar, whatever you want to call it they rolled in one of the coolest cars ever. I can only imagine it had a horn that roared. That's cool

So I think the pics say it all the place was strange.
That evening we went to the screening of the first 2 episodes of season 3 of Barbaras show, Star Wars: The Cone Wars and the clone troopers from the 501st were out in full force. Pretty cool stuff, Eva got to see what is was that Barbara did and I think she approved.?. At least its not porn
To prove I was there
Even R2 was there. Apparently these guys make all their own uniforms and one guy even built R2D2 from scratch. Hard core fans.
This is the Chinese garden
Pretty nice place
Turtle museum
This dude followed us everywhere we went. It didn't help that I had a cucumber in my hand, get your mind out of the gutter, it was a real cucumber to feed the turtles.
Or tease them with. Some of these things were a little aggressive
Especially this guy. I think he would gladly eat your hand if given the chance
A bird
So along with the turtles they had a Bonsai garden which was the real attraction here. Again I took about 100 pics so here are a few faves. These things blow me away.
This one is 200 years old. Very cool
These ones don't even have pots they are just on a piece of slate
This is just cool
And on this side we have
Eva waiting to go to Bali
Drinks on the plane
Michelle at Uluwatu
Eva at Uluwatu

Rice terraces
Ready to shop on Monkey Forest road in Ubud
Chickens in the street
A meeting of the minds monkey style. Probably going over a plan on how to steal stuff from the humans. Monkeys...
Trouble x 1
Trouble x 2
Need I say more

Beachcomber Eva

This and the following are pictures inside the Buddah Tooth relic museum. I reference this only because these two pics should never have been taken. There are signs everywhere saying no pics in this room. Eva, bless her, walked right in and started taking pics. We nearly got thrown out.
Good on ya Eva
A little wine to cap off the evening

At the waterfront
More bonsai
Enjoying her first Singapore Sling
Yes it is hot under that skirt
Eva not digging the heat at this moment
Me and Michelle on a elephant
She had to be coereced but Eva got on the great beast. I think she enjoyed it
But I know she was glad to get off of it
Michelle getting her wreath from our elephant

A little baby elephant petting and feeding
Topped off with a kiss
Some painting
And sitting
Just to prove she was up there
And us
Eva getting here wreath. Looks like she is about to get goosed as well. Probably have to pay extra for that
Happy Barbara
We too Eva to that crazy fire dance
Its unbelievable how many people they cram into this place

If this ever got out of control chaos would definately ensue
Before Eva left I finally got her to the Orchid garden. This is where I got Best Son in Law status.

It was friggin hot that day. We are in the mist house now. I don't think Eva wanted to leave

It really is beautiful in there

That's all for now
