On The Road Again and Whisky River keep filtering through my head. Maybe its all the recycled air from the 24 hrs on airplanes in the last two days or just the air in Oklahoma but Willie is keeping me on track once again. Yes we have landed back in North America and things are different here. There are homeless people, right out in the open for everyone to see, and gum on the streets. No reports of cainings on the news and I think I heard someone swear out loud. Unheard of in Singapore. My brain is swimming with the barbarism here, I hope I can survive 3 weeks in this heathen land. (God bless the heathens.) What a difference a few thousand miles makes. I can't wait to go out and shoot something. Maybe drink a little beer and whiskey beforehand. Obviously Barbara is not with me here in the land of the redneck, the place I call my home away from home. She is in San Francisco among the cultured masses while I digress into the alcohol fueled pool halls, hunting stands, gun ranges and freezing cold backyards talking sh*t to my old buddies. Let the good times role (No pictures please). I hope she takes me back when it is all said and done.

Hi all. I just wanted everyone to know they can rest easy now, we found the BBQ joint.
Memphis style and it was pretty darn good if I do say so myself.
It even had the proper license plates on the wall which of course are to BBQ what a Micheline star is to fine dining.
Umm Umm look at those racks of ribs
And a little pulled pork sammy what to eat what to eat
Yeah you guessed it. I got some wings, and they were the spiciest wings that I've had yet. Damn good.
This little fella greeted us at the Singapore Zoo, which in my opinion is one of if not the best zoo I've ever been too. It has a wide open concept and you feel as if you could reach out and touch all the animals. Literally this guy was about a foot away from the camera

The Tapir is pretty cute, too bad he's pretty much the bottom of the food chain. The cute cuddly ones are always the first to go
Some really stinky pigs
I'm sure this guy would love to chat with some of those pigs or the tapir, or possibly some of the screaming kids that all over the place
This guy was awesome. Its the pygmy hippo tank and this is one of the newer additions He seemed to be coming in for his close up when mom and dad played a little prank on him
Its face plant time. Come on how cute is that. "Ma what are you doing to me, how embarrassing"
and he's back chasing fish. I think if Barbara could have put him in her purse and taken him home she would have
Here's another family moment. The little ones playing in the corner and here comes mom
Busted
"Now you just wait until your father gets home, boy are you gonna get it"
Hey what are you looking at. Diggin that hair.
You know you cant get enough of the monkeys. They always seem to be having fun. Mom and pop upstairs and the kids wrestling in the basement
Having a little lunch by the pool
Chillin. This was an amazing set up for the Oragutangs. There were maybe 10 in here. We spent probably 45 minutes just watching them do their thing.
Hey ma where you goin. Wait for me

Then there's this guy. All you could see was the head sticking out. Not something you want to stumble upon
Or him. One of my favorites the Komodo Dragon.
He never took his eyes off of me. How would you like to see that wander in through the back door
So we are standing at this tank looking at the size of these alligators and I realized that Barbara was seeing something completely different than me. I saw a huge prehistoric animal
She was seeing a pair of boots
your basic big friggin frog
and your basic weird lookin frog
Now these were some really big bats, once again this guy was about a foot from the camera. Thankfully they were fruit bats.
Pretty cool though
And then some little little birds. All living harmony

Another favorite.
massive snake
Freakin ginormous snake
This thing looked like the star of Anaconda, hell he probably was
Your cute and cuddly Spitting Cobra, native to Singapore. This helps you sleep at night knowing that he's out there slinkin around
A mangrove snake. Another deadly cold blooded critter native to Singapore. Starting to realized there are quite a few deadly snakes living relatively close by
What an awsome cat this guy was. He just sat there and stared at the people unflinching for at least 10 minutes while we were there and still didn't move after we left. My gut tells me he was thinking a little Chinese food would be good right about now
Barbara loved the Giraffs
And the white rhino. The walking tanks itself. Pretty awsome
We didn't have to go to the zoo for this guys. He joined us for diner the other night. He's like the snails you see in cartoons.
A happy camper at the zoo. Next time we will do the night safari. I guess its another section of the zoo that they take you through at night so you cn see all the noctournal feeders in action, pretty cool. I can't wait.

Bye for now

Hello everyone. We'll start with yet another quirky sign in the Singapore MRT. Now before we get to the pics of the week I feel i need to say a few things. First the Singapore shuffle will drive a person nuts. I guess its a cultural thing but the people here just shuffle along in a seeming slow motion in no hurry to get where they are going. Not that I am rushing to get anywhere but walking at a normal pace is unheard of here. Also while walking in the Singapore shuffle people have the urge to stop for no reason what so ever. They just stop. It is a very strange phenomenon. I personally very rarely have the urge to stop walking in the middle of a crowd of people and just stand there. call me crazy. Second, pushing a baby stroller, playing a video game, wearing headphones or talking on your phone, or any combination of the afore mentioned does not give you the right to walk aimlessly around randomly running into people. WAKE UP.

Ok now that I've gotten that out of my system on to the pics.

I like this blog thing.
Luke Luke Come to me Luke
Wait a second,,,,Who ever thought they would see the day Barbara would wear a Darth Vader mask. I love Lucas
Who might this formidable individual be
Ahh the birthday boy himself. Happy Birthday G. We were at a pub in Clark Quay and it was very much good times. Mr Corsi's 1st B-Day in Sing.
Doesn't the Happy Buddha look great with his little red purse. I think Denise wants it back
The organizer of the events, the always photogenic Michelle. I think she's happy not to be wearing the mask
Yay, cookies. Bravo on the cookies Michelle, they rocked, espresso chocolaty goodness
The sign that destroyed a man. People took this a little too seriously. Oh yeah this was a Wednesday night, work the next day loomed on the horizon
My Yoda face. Why is Yoda always so unhappy?
Ok so we are off on a new tangent here. Look closely and you can see a guy walking long
See the smoke behind him. He's fogging for mosquito's
Ok so he's past our place but the fog is one of those gifts that just keeps giving
and giving
and, holy crap, giving
when does it stop
so we've hit the white out stage. Yes that is poison floating heavily in the air. Honestly I don't if this stuff works but it is quite a show of force. I think it kills everything in a 20 foot radius. The other crazy thing around here is they consider geckos to be insects. I don't get it since the gecko, hold on to your seat for this, EATS MOSQUITO'S.

Welcome back to Little India. We are in the middle of Deepvali Festival which extends to the end of October so there are stalls set up selling all kinds of stuffs.
I love the colors of this Ganesha
The colors and flowers and everything is beautiful but also a bit over whelming. The scents are awesome as well

So please tell me who doesn't want a mirror ball Buddha. I love it. Disco Buddha
The only graffiti that I've seen in Sing.
I have a feeling that they got a permit for this.
Isn't she cute.

Bye for now
